The SkyTalker C-1000
The SkyTalker C-1000 is designed for aviation applications. Operating on the Iridium Satellite network, the C-1000 works with the Iridium 9505A handheld phone to provide continent hands free access when in flight.

The SkyTalker unit uses the VL-1000, a hands free headset adapter allowing you to talk and listen without having to hold the phone to the ear. In an aircraft, pilots are usually required and/or choose to stay in contact with ATC (air traffic control) through a headset. The VL-1000 allows the pilot to remain in contact with ATC and talk on the phone without each party hearing the other.

The Skytalker C-1000 allows a pilot to make and receive phone calls, receive text messages, and gain access to the internet to send and receive e-mail messages.

Iridium Short Burst Data provides capability for vertical market applications in the Oil, Gas, Rail, Maritime, Aeronautical, and Utility industries as well as applications in the Government and Military sectors.

Iridium Short Burst Data is designed for applications that wish to send data messages of a smaller size or with greater frequency than is economically possible with circuit switched data services. SBD is ideal for situations such as asset tracking, remote telemetry, or pipeline monitoring.
